A Skin Rash beneath the Breasts or in the Groins during pregnancy

Stout women with heavy breasts and fleshy thighs often develop an irritating skin rash either beneath the breast where it joins the chest wall, or in one or both groins. This is especially common in warm, humid climates and is caused by an accumulation of irritating perspiration. The best treatment is the application of a mixture of three parts of calomine lotion and one part of witch hazel in an amount sufficient to form a surface cover over the irritated area, then dusting with talcum powder.
